Conor is a New York based lighting designer who spends his time freelancing between design and assistant design work. Conor is currently working for the Ken Billington Associates office while he continues to pursue his own freelance design work.
In Conor's first year out of grad school he completed the Hemsley Lighting Internship. While with the internship Conor was a lighting design assistant for a number of companies; Lincoln Center Festival, San Francisco Opera, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, and the New York City Ballet. Conor continues to both design and assist in the New York market as well as regionally.
Prior to New York Conor was a freelance designer and assistant in the San Diego Market. Conor's San Diego design credits include: Fool For Love, True West at Cygnet Theatre; Lesson 443 at MOXIE Theatre; Thrill Me at Diversionary Theatre; and The Matchmaker at Mira Costa College.
San Diego assistant design credits include: Double Indemnity at The Old Globe Theatre; Company, Assassins, WCYG: A Christmas Carol at Cygnet Theatre; Trouble In Mind at MOXIE Theatre; and Marry Me A Little, The Divine Sister at Diversionary Theatre.
Prior to moving to San Diego for graduate school, Conor was a freelance designer in the Baltimore area. Baltimore credits include: The Typographer's Dream, The Soldier Dreams, I Want To Be A Gay Icon, Love and Human Remains at Iron Crow Theatre Company; Three Zizters, Rogue Waves A.C.M.E corp.; and Cabaret, Forever Plaid, Little Shop of Horrors at Milburn Stone Theatre.
In addition, Conor has experience in architectural lighting interning for e2 lighting design, a Los Angeles-based architectural lighting design firm. Conor gained experience in lighting systems integration at Barbizon Lighting Company in New York as a system division intern.
Conor received his MFA in Design and Technical Theatre from San Diego State University in May of 2015 and his B.S. in Theatre Production and Design from Towson University in 2012.
